

Fraser Island seems to provide a fascinating snapshot of landscape change over time. The island’s lakes, soil profiles and landscape relief are globally unique. Despite this attractiveness as a research topic, the level of research to date has been minimal and researchers have made numerous assumptions based on evolutionary paradigms. A simple review of the available data to date suggests that the island is indeed quite young and a post Global Flood landscape.
