This presentation by Dr Martin Williams is a persuasive reminder that if evolution and death were a part of God's good creation, then the New Testament's portrayal of Jesus' death is seriously flawed. The only way to understand the significance of Jesus's atoning death is to remember that history began with a perfect world and was thrown in to chaos by a flagrant sin. And, naturally, this means that the doctrine of creation can never, ever be a secondary matter.
